hooking iPad Pro up to iConnectMIDI2+, what length cable is too long?

I need to order a USB-C to USB-B cable to hook up my iPad Pro to my desktop. I'm curious if cable length can be an issue for data transmission? I'd like to get the longest cable possible without taking any chances.

    Keep it short as you can sir. Length also effects charging ability as well as data transfer.
