This is a lenghty, fiery flamenco rumba (not to be confused with balroom “rhumba”) with jazzy influences. The main theme is played on the Spanish guitar, as you would expect, and in a loose, almost improvised way, with lots of fast picado (the characteric flamenco way of soloing on the guitar) runs over a typical Im-bVII-bVI-V progression. There is also a funky electric bass and congas besides the rhythm guitars doing the typical rumba rhythm or toque. Recorded in Auria Pro (iOS) with MXL mics, an Apogee interface, a Minyard Martinez guitar and a cheap Precision clone. Enjoy!
