Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

infinite looper vs other loopers

So, I own practically other major looper out there and thought I'd purchase this one as well, seeing as it's largely midi, rather than audio based. Does the tracking for audio to mid work as well as Midiguitar? that alone would make it a handy addition to the arsenal. I've seen the developer posting on here and read blog reviews. He seems like a thorough chap and implements functionality as people mention if it doesn't exist. The only complaint I could find anyone really making is that the interface is more functional than artsy, which doesn't really bother me. Programmers are not often the fanciest GUI designers, since functionality is king. Also I saw he wrote some software similar to Impaktor a few years back. Is Ipaktor pretty much the king of that sort of thing or is it worth getting other apps that will convert table drumming to midi?

  • Yes, it tracks on par with midiguitar.

Impaktor reigns supreme, yeas on, for turning your annoying 6th grade classroom desk habits into actual music. It’s not so much the detection but what it does with the detection.
