Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

triqtraq updated!
What's New in Version 1.3.1
the new recording feature requires iOS 6 or higher
new integrated sample manager (KITS button) for direct access to samples, kits, and the new sample recorder
record your own sounds with the internal microphone (iOS 6+, see below for instructions)*
WIST technology: jam together with a friend by syncing to another device over bluetooth
iOS 7 support
Changes in version 1.3.1:
the new audio record button, which is only compatible with devices running iOS 6 or higher, was removed from the interface on iOS 5.
To record your own sounds in KITS view, hold down the record button in the middle of the sample pads.
'Waiting for input' will appear in the monitor; the recording will start the moment you make a sound.
Hold down the record button for the duration you want to record. After recording, STORE will appear on the pads, allowing you to store the recorded sample to a sample pad. Use the X (kill button) to cancel the recording.
To make sure you can use your recordings in future sessions, make sure to save your sample kit or session. Recordings will then be copied to the user sample folder.

No responses to the update, so I thought I'd show some love for this app :-). I haven't had a chance to use the audio record button, but, in general, I'm using this triqtraq more and more to come up w bass and drum parts. A top shelf app, IMO...
I'm glad the developer is getting updates out. Looking forward to working w this one more and more. I like the work flow, a lot of hip included sounds, and nice effects automations.
Really like this beat making app. It's a blast to tweak live, both the individual patterns and the overall set. Easy to get lost in time playing around with it. I appreciate the updates and the thought that's gone into this. Highly recommended!
Yep, it is almost too easy to mash the buttons and come up with something amazing. Juicy squelches and solid beats. Love it. But I feel the new Electrify is about to blow this and similar apps out of the water. What are they doing in water anyway?
.
Pretty cool. I just picked it up and am having fun.
I went to the App Store to download this, but it comes up "There are no results..." Is anybody else having this problem?
Unfortunately, it's a ipod based app, currently. It does look very good on iPads, but it's due for an update (hopefully universal to both)...

Maybe you have restricted your searches to "iPad" apps.
Ah ha! Thanks dj8! I'll try it again....
You're welcome, @jg707. Did you find it?
I did! Thanks again!
Cool, enjoy!
Bumping , partially because Simon missed deleting this post, and partially because Triqtraq got updated today with all the new AB/IAA and iOS 8 stuff and some other lull. Plus, it's now a universal application, so no more upscaling.
Oops, I missed this...sorry, @ChrisG, I've just opened a dedicated thread...
