Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Can AUM recognize a MIDI pitch wheel controller?

I’m trying to assign the volume sliders on a Zoom R8 to control the channel volume in AUM, but the MIDI Learn doesn’t recognize them.

The Zoom’s sliders send a MIDI Pitch Wheel signal. I can confirm they work as expected in Loopy.

Is there a way to make AUM see the pitch wheel input?

Comments

  • Maybe something for the streambyter?

  • That looks promising. I’d like to know it it can remap pitch wheel to CC before I buy it though.

  • Can I do this with Midiflow @JohannesD ?

  • Confirmed. I used Midiflow to remap pitch bend to CC1, then used MIDI Learn in AUM. I just have to start up Midiflow before I load the saved session in AUM.

Now I can use the faders on the R8 to control the faders in AUM. It’s pretty great.
