I have been out of the game for about a year.....where can i go to find out about the latest music apps?

Another question.....im using my ipad only for recording, for using my drumloops via iad can cubase or auria pro do this? Are all synths capable of this? ....also any additional recommendations?

Last question are al apps audiobus midi friendly? For instance will my midi controller work with them all? just bought a powered usb hub for extra friendly-ness
