Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Not sure who I am, but I decided to say something!

  • like @Dawdles I was reminded at Radiohead almost immediately, but just for style.
The expression is very individual, a nice track :+1:

  • Welcome to you, nice introduction :)

Don’t hesitate to post your questions and creating some threads ;)

About avatar, tap/click on your pseudo on top of forum, and tap picture, then tap « change picture » and upload your new avatar. I don’t think there are too much restrictions, I’ve uploaded mine from iPhone. All of this is on mobile forum version.

Thank you, @Janosax, I tried several times without success with a picture which was originally in .png and that I converted to .jpg. Then I just try with another one originally in .jpg and that worked just fine. I guess my first file was kind of corrupted. Thanks again.

Glad you liked it. For many years, all your advice and thoughts have been an amazing help and source of inspiration to elaborate my own iOS work flow. Thank you so much! Don't know why I did not say anything before. How stupid of me! I sure will ask for your help in the future. Cheers!

    Salut Flo!

@JanKun Hi, and a very warm welcome to your first posting here, and, yes, that was a fantastic way to introduce yourself, top job :)

    Dear Doug!

There are no words to describe how grateful I am for your dedication and all the hard work you're doing for this community. You're one of the purest diamonds of the iOS world. Take good care of your health!

That was a very refreshing read. Welcome, I hope you find everything your looking for here. I know I have learned a lot and made some wonderful friends in my short time here.

Truly happy you liked it. It came from the bottom of the heart. I already found so many new ideas through this forum as a passive reader. I'll try to contribute as much as I can in the future. Cheers

I hope your voice will be heard often here @JanKun! I am sure I could learn from you,

Thanks a lot. You're one of the person who helped me open the door. Thanks a lot for this. I sure will learn a lot from you! Take care!

Groovy :) cost of admission to this iOS sound world is low, but without all the demos and inspiration of the overall community, I don’t think I would’ve stuck with it.

Curious... how many female users are there here? I see a couple every now and then who are somewhat regular, but most of the regulars are dudes. Are the women just lurking? Or perhaps they’re here but using androgynous names?

Also, why don’t you ever see female iOS sound app developers? Seems like they’re always male. I wonder why?

Would be cool if there were more women engaging for more varied perspectives.

    Thanks for the great welcome!
I agree with you, women are not showing up that much around here.

Well done @JanKun. Especially fond of the vocal. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks a lot, but without my friends Xan and Claudio my vocal would have never seen the day. Thank you for the great welcome!

    Nice....welcome.
Even if i prefer mac over iOS for music creation i must say that i like the community here much more than in all other music forums. I mean it´s maybe THE magic about iOS music creation.
I see developers fights and customer flaming each other elsewhere but here it´s in general (maybe not always) a very peaceful and warm place to have a look at.
Maybe 50 views a day are from me. :)

    Thank you !

I would not switch back to desktop for all the gold in the world. IOS music making fits me so well. But I understand some still prefer the good old way.

I must agree with you, this place is amazing peaceful, it is very rare to find people spit venom at each other in here. I really hope this place will stay like this for a long time.

Thanks for the kind words @JanKun - we're glad you're here too!

Thank you very much! Your recent post inspired me a lot! Thanks to you, I decided to open the door. It might sound like nothing: register to a blog and start a discussion. But in fact, in my case and I believe in many other people cases, there are so many implications in doing such a simple thing. Thanks again !

Love this track. How do you record the mic into the recording host? If only I had a voice like yours! Envy!

Thanks a lot for your kind words. Glad you like it.
I found out that I have many work flows with iOS. If I have to deal with mixing and mastering, I usually go for auria pro, because of fabfilter plug in. But when it comes to experimention, I recently found myself reaching for the duo AUM and Audioshare. Big thumb up @j_liljedahl. Amazingly flexible for creating loops, experimenting with effects and bus send.
In the case of this song, my friends sent me a mix of the music. I used it in the AUM sampler and recorded my raw vocals on another track to audioshare. Ah, and I did a bus send to another track where I added the kind of effects I like for my voice as a real time monitoring track for a more comfortable performance during the recording. I really like it this way for vocals. It reminds of my old tascam 4 track portastudio with much more flexibility.

Then I just sent back the vocal file to my friends as .wav. And they did all the hard work. You know everything!

Thanks a lot! Glad you liked it! You could not give me a better compliment than this one. Huge fan of the Radiohead here.

What a beautiful thing to just be grateful and express thanks! Welcome to the best forum a music maker could ask for, @JanKun

I second @skiphunt in regards to female voices. Would love to hear about more on both sides of iOS music.

Thank you for your warm welcome! I agree the greatest music related forum. See you here

Here is the song I am the most proud of for now. The music was created by two of my friends back in France. It was created on desktop (Mac and PC). I am currently living in Kyoto. So it is a long distance collaboration. It is the very first time I dare writing lyrics in my native language. The vocals were recorded using the internal mic of my iPad Air 2. My friends did a some work on the vocal on his desktop, but still, I am amazed such result can be achieved with the internal mic of an iPad. Hope you will like it.

    @JanKun Welcome!

I just view the forum now.. Tried to ask questions originally and got spectacularly shot down and made to look a cock by one of the lifers in here. Seem to remember a user called Superdong or something.

I am sorry you went through this kind of experience. But from a long time reader point of view, this kind of incident is very rare here. Don't let the venom reach your heart.
