Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Animoog iPhone app 😒

Welp do not but Animoog on your iPhone thinking you can use it on your iPad, cuz nope... Not the same app, guess I should read before I click!
I actually purchased it a while ago but it just clicked today that it was not on my iPad haha.

I'm afraid to buy anything using my iPhone now 😂

  • You can run the phone version on your iPad, though it’s not ideal:

You can run the iphone version on the ipad, but with the gui scaled 2X. I actually have both versions (as many here do) because that way you could have two instances of animoog running at the same time, back in the days.

  • got it thank ya guys!

    Exactly this.

  • You can share IAPs through iTunes as well, I believe.

  • I’m still hoping moog will turn into an AU, at some point, but maybe it’s not so trivial since animoog predates all this...

The iPhone version does run okay on the iPad. However, the HOLD button disappears when doing so.

I'm pretty sure moog briefly mentioned that AU would probably come for animoog someday

  • Fingers crossed @Halftone

You also can only get midi in via one channel/device/app.

Where as iPad I can seq w/ Genome and play with MIDI keyboard at same time.

Why would you like more than 1 instance of it?

Have you tried using the iPhone and iPad app together?

    Works great for me.

Frankly, I don't need more than 2 instances of Animoog and I like the entire GUI so I wouldn't personally need an AU.

  • I don't know if I even like Animoog anymore 😂 but I'm glad it's working on my iPad now cuz I paid for it lol

  • @RUST( i )K sure, I agree with you, the two animoogs hack is just legacy from the old days when we weren’t spoiled with so many great synths. It’s still one of my fave synths (maybe some nostalgia here) and I’d love an au version, cause come on, you can never have too many instances of animoog :)
