Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

And after testing this for a few mins, it is really nice! Simple/easy/fast to use, does what its supposed to do, sounds very good and because AU, its easy to layer multiple ones to create massive kicks, add some FXs to maybe just some of the layers etc.

  • Wow great heads up. I was disappointed at first to learn it’s only a kick synth, but after playing with it for a few minutes it’s one of those thing I never knew I needed. It’s so beefy. A dedicated, flexible kick synth... pretty nice to have!

Check out the presets. There are some other types of drum sounds.
I am going to see if I can play a fat DnB Bassline with it. :)

  • Boom kick is just what the doctor ordered for trapaliciousness. Me likey this AU.

It’s got other sounds too ... maybe it needs a rename?

  • Sure it’s got other sounds. But they’re not even remotely convincing? I feel like it’s called Synth Drum Kick for a reason. All the options seem to point towards kick design.

This is true. Kinda more hybrid kick/whatever else, but still very kicky.
