Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Feels a little cheeky to post it here since it won't support AB (at launch anyway) but figure some folks here would be interested.

Looks killer. Blip is right up there with the best of the one person iOS devs.

  • All men live enveloped in whale-lines. All are born with halters round their necks; but it is only when caught in the swift, sudden turn of death, that mortals realize the silent, subtle, ever-present perils of life. And if you be a philosopher, though seated in the whale-boat, you would not at heart feel one whit more of terror, than though seated before your evening fire with a poker, and not a harpoon, by your side.

  • Labor of love this app is...wait I cannot :)

  • NS is king of the piano roll. Cant wait to see v.2

Getting a 'page not found' over here now, but not certain if anyone else has mentioned this (or made the decision this early), but I'm just going to flat out purchase this upon its release with no fence sitting at all.

    Yeah, try the later links....

  • No fence-sitting here. Buying NS2 just for Obsidian alone is worth it. Obsidian looks very much on par with the likes of Thor, Sytrus, Massive, Absynth, maybe even Synthmaster. Look at the FM mode of one of the oscillators and tell me that doesn’t make your jaw drop! :astonished:

Yessir. I'm still buying it, don't care what you say.

    :)

  • NS2 = Dictionary definition of Instabuy.

And I rarely use that term.

  • W A N T T H A T N O W

  • Same here, Looks just like it should, updated and more powerful, instant purchase on release.

One of my favorites, and very apt.

    Very good sir.

  • @lukesleepwalker That was sufficiently apt that I feel we need this man to be point at something appropriate:

    All suggestions welcome of course...

  • @JohnnyGoodyear You were just teeing this one up for me, I presume?

Or is it, that as in essence whiteness is not so much a color as the visible absence of color; and at the same time the concrete of all colors; is it for these reasons that there is such a dumb blankness, full of meaning, in a wide landscape of snows- a colorless, all-color of atheism from which we shrink? And when we consider that other theory of the natural philosophers, that all other earthly hues — every stately or lovely emblazoning — the sweet tinges of sunset skies and woods; yea, and the gilded velvets of butterflies, and the butterfly cheeks of young girls; all these are but subtile deceits, not actually inherent in substances, but only laid on from without; so that all deified Nature absolutely paints like the harlot, whose allurements cover nothing but the charnel-house within; and when we proceed further, and consider that the mystical cosmetic which produces every one of her hues, the great principle of light, for ever remains white or colorless in itself, and if operating without medium upon matter, would touch all objects, even tulips and roses, with its own blank tinge — pondering all this, the palsied universe lies before us a leper; and like wilful travellers in Lapland, who refuse to wear colored and coloring glasses upon their eyes, so the wretched infidel gazes himself blind at the monumental white shroud that wraps all the prospect around him. And of all these things the Albino whale was the symbol. Wonder ye then at the fiery hunt?

    But yes.

Funny to think that HM is probably under-rated if anything at this point in history....

  • This looks incredibly sleek and sophisticated. The Obsidian synth looks like it means business. Guess it’s too soon to ask how much will it cost. Silly me I’ll gladly pay for the devs hard work!

Looks like the initial URLs changed. Updated the top post to just point at the announcement forum. http://forums.blipinteractive.co.uk/forum/1

  • @SAMU!!!!! Where art thou?

  • It will be great to see NS back in the game again.

  • This is the year of NS2 and OP-Z (I hope)

I obviously missed the context here?

    Hope you're well fella! :)

    yup

  • Showing a lot of promise...but then so have other apps....will wait for release and feedback on here before I get excited by another app....

    for now...

  • I mean if the workflow is similar to NS1 plus what i see here it´s already the dream DAW for iOS.
Now THAT is really an app for what i could imagine to buy just a new iPad.
Obsidian especially looks like my thing for sure.
But as nice as pictures are......what i like to hear are sound demos of single presets of Obsidian now....

Indeed. I could read that section 50 times and marvel a bit more each time.

  • I finally got an iPad so I'll be ready for NS2 on release. Agreed with Cib, as long as the workflow is maintained plus all these awesome looking features it's gonna be killer
