Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

One more question about audio interfaces (software)

I found that even there are very good for Ipad and build with high quality materials, some have extra software, and some doesn't have.

Which software You find most helpful with routing a signal from ipad into DAW?

That's more dependent, if you want to keep the signal digital or analog and then the desktop system you're using MacOS, Windows etc. So you need to state what environment you're going to be using it with.

  • Digital sound from ipad to Abeton on Windows

  • Then you will need either an iConnectivity interface or use an app like studiomux etc. to route audio via a USB connection to your desktop/laptop which will run the VST studiomux version in your DAW.

Yeah I know how to connect things, but the question was about software which top interfaces contains - if someone could share opinions about them. I know that iconnectivity has one, UR44 too, but some doesn't have any - like u-phoria umc404.

So, anyone will share his opinions?

  • Apogee Maestro for both One and Duet. A joy to use, and runs on the iPad (no need of a PC).

I'm looking something cheaper - iconnectivity, Steinberg, Behringer, Presonus...
