Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

  • I’m all for iOS hardware. I need a dedicated iOS drumpad with audio interface and usb midi and or a Bluetooth drumpad so I can use with BM3 and iMPC pro2.

  • If it can also hold the iPad too that would be a plus. No cheap stuff either a quality built mpc style drumpad controller with knobs and maybe a fader. I almost built one myself but finding cheap fsr for the pads is a b*tch

  • Oh no... :weary:

It will be amazing Maschine mk3 working with iOS but NI doesn’t seems the value even for update their iMaschine app.
I’m still wonderig hacking a Launchkey49 mk2 for different purposes one of them as drumpad (well arcade pad since it’s sensivity is weird) but I need to save a bit first (just bought iTrack dock being 1/2 of your idea)

Don’t forget to check my post about midi controller diy and avoid the coding the most you can. Code is evil! What will be next? App developing?

or make yr own with velostat and some youtube vids
    https://coolcomponents.co.uk/products/pressure-sensitive-conductive-sheet-velostat-linqstat?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=googlepla&variant=45222917774&gclid=Cj0KCQiAvrfSBRC2ARIsAFumcm8d-tKMAF0Op9TJDBSo_UCbvE91hl2dHtYvjxaKoEVxFhblAlZJfrAaAmg3EALw_wcB
i've been looking into fsr's. really simple to make with velostat. programming a micro controller would be a bit harder

Thanks. I knew about that. I checked into it a while ago.

I've done a few Frankenstein controller before. I'm one of those guys that like to fix electronics, mostly anything to do with making music. I buy broken, fix and sell on eBay as another hobby. I get to keep some of course and like I said above combine a few but never really satisfied as mostly my ideas are not easily done. I wish I had the money and easily accessible equipment. Oh well

    :D :D :D

  • The most interesting thing for me (i know of now) planned to be presented at NAMM is Emotional Violin (Kontakt library).
    Otherwise i don‘t know really.
I‘m at a point where i have close to everything i could need.
I have hope for Spectrasonics news maybe but don‘t think so.
I would like to see more iOS mac/windows specific combinations like powerful plug-ins with native apps as controller or such stuff.
I wish Roli could get at least a proper dashboard iOS app ready to show instead spit out blocks and more consumer ready sample/sound packs.

  • Maybe the rumoured to death Aira Sampler... but anyways I couldn’t afford it probably :bawling:

  • Fingers crossed for a keystep pro (with more keys and midi knobs).
Teenage engineering will most certainly have a working prototype of the op-z. Perhaps another pocket operator.

  • "I seriously doubt it" vote on seeing new Volcas. Would love to see life after death for the Korg Analog division though.

Other than the REV2 Prophet, has DSI done anything new this year? Maybe we'll see something there; or maybe just another Pioneer collaboration.

KeyStep Pro seems like a strong possibility. They also have a great big whole in their synth line up. Goes from micro, to mini and then a giant jump to the maxtrix. Maybe they'll fill it.

Utonic on iOS would be a welcome surprise.

Novation X-Station 2 would be more welcome though!

  • Hoping someone else picks up on the stand-alone digital mutli-track mixer Zoom put out this year. Or, better, a hybrid between that and the https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Sig22MT which offers 22 USB channels.

Would be a reasonable hybrid if the hardware had the basic controls for recording, overdubbing, navigation, cue points, etc (like, basic 4-track cassette machine controls) and then relied on an iOS app to do editing, etc.

  • Keystep Pro would be good New have the original and love it, build quality second to none.

Yeah....I'm looking for a stand alone multi track recorder that I can sync easily to the ipad and sequencers I have......zoom r24 is almost there, apparently the pre-amps aren't brilliant though, and some have complained about timing drift....
Tascam DP24SD would be close, but sync isn't easy

hope roland announce their much talked about sampler

  • Read somewhere about volca format mixer - hopefully with some live performance aspects to it - that would definitely interest me if stereo, for multi idevice setup + few small desktop synths.

  • @Dubbylabby
I haven't seen actual pictures, only rumors on - I think - Elektron forum.
    Still hoping it's legit.

  • Mamma! I have to sell some old stash, my studio is filled to its capacity
I can always throw out the coffee machine, but I like coffee.
    Think I’ll hold a Garage(band) sale lol

    http://www.synthtopia.com/content/2018/01/17/korg-prologue-analog-polyphonic-synth-coming-at-2018-namm-show/

  • OP-Z, which had one beta already but seems as if another beta is to begin.

Bitwig 2 already way cool but maybe the under the hood modular will be (as long promised) exposed as GUI

  • I’m still waiting for Synthmaster One for iOS... Long wait...
