Korg iMono/Poly sound compared to Legacy Collection desktop version

edited December 2017 in App Tips and Tricks

With actually being able to exchange presets between iMono/Poly and the Legacy Collection Mono/Poly, I'm really curious how the iOS version sounds compared to the desktop version.
Both are said to use Korg's Component Modelling Technology, but I doubt they really sound the same.
Can anybody answer that?
I haven't found a single review comparing the two sound-wise.

Also, has anybody tried to run it on iPad 4? Korg are a bit unclear recommending iPad Air and excluding iPad 3 and below, but no mention of iPad 4.

  • Monopoly is very light. I run it fine on a mini 2. The most intense synth Korg has is Module, followed by Odyssey.

  • What about iPad 4 then?

  • as long as its 64 bit you'll be fine

Mono/poly & ioddysei do not work on iPad 4, when trying to install a message pops up saying they are not compatible with the device.

Hmm, that's what I was afraid of. Thanks for replying.

Not a biggie, since I own the Legacy Collection version and I'm just guessing that they sound the same.
