Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Questions about AUM and Odessa

Maybe others have questions too.

I have several. My first is an easy one I think, how does one set up AUMs keys to control pattern change, start/stop, and other Odessa sequencer and controller params? (This is partially answered in the 37+ page Odessa thread, but I got stuck after figuring out how to pattern change: I couldn’t start the sequencer...)

There are also questions related to the use of multi midi sequencers like Quantum or Genome inside an AUM/Odessa environment

  • If I’m understanding you correctly, I don’t think you can use the AUM keys to change parameters. But if you activated the “midi triggers patterns change” option in the midi menu and that worked, then you should be able to hit any key between C3-C5 to start the sequence as long as AUMs transport is running and midi trig shows instead of autoplay.

    That’s awesome, thanks!

  • What was your question about Quantum and Genome in AUM? I have both. I can test something if you’d like?
