Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Best tuner app?

There are tons of these out there. Which is the best multi-purpose tuner (not simply guitar but percussive sounds as well)? It would be great if I could just drop it in AUM as an AUv3 effect so I don't have to switch between apps, but if there isn't a great AUv3 tuner yet I'll manage.

    I love this one. Tonal............

Also, The Boss Tuner is really good. I actually use that one the most. It's free. Easy to use, read. It looks and acts the same as their pedal tuner. So, maybe that's why I dig it so much.

    Pano Tuner
    Free
    Responsive
    Tunes anything

  • It might be that French Ircam Lab has made the best tuner up to this date with their Snail app: https://twitter.com/ircamlab

  • Just putting it out there, but TonalEnergy is one of the few tuners that supports audiobus and IAA, probably the closest you’ll come to an AU right now. It has also has a pretty good metronome, one of be few that supports Ableton Link (for whatever that’s worth).

Disclaimer: I’m the developer, I also made ThumbJam, DrumJam, and am often found around these parts for support. Also, I’m happy to take feedback if you have any special needs that it may not meet.

  • I'd love to see an AUv3 tuner that I can drop into AUM.

I'm finding IAA to be a bit of a crap shoot concerning whether the app will load or not.
