    Mine ended in the bin, def the weak part of the controller.

    I took it apart and can press the thing together and it will pick it up on the Macbook, but before i solder in a cable and just have a USB lead hanging out the side, it would be nice to get the actual part and solder it in, then cover it in epoxy resin :)
    The sad thing is that there is plenty of room inside for a full size USB socket.
