I got in early, back when they'd send you one sans top, so it was a steal. Going strong, though.
A lot of people bitch and complain about apps costing $10 or more. So I doubt anyone's gonna spend $1000 on a chair.
Probably because most of us can't afford one.
My last three chairs have all come from office clear outs. My fat arse and constant fidgeting mean they don't last long, so a free chair with one of Mrs Monzo's cushions does the job. If I had more space and money, I'd love one of those stand up desks though.
I bought Hbada office task desk chair for a home desk because I was using a dining room chair that had no back support. This chair has back support, better than the chair, but I still have to use a pillow. I am pleased with the 5-legs (I have tipped over backwards on some office chairs). They are very stable for sitting down. It is also easier to move the chair to get out, but the castors roll too easily, so I have to turn the chair into the desk to allow me to get up from the chair without falling over, and at 76 that is very important. Turning the chair is not a problem, and I like the arms that can be moved up. All in all, good value for the money
My friend gave me a Herman Miller Aeron chair that was obtained when the office they worked in cleared some out. Unfortunately it’s not the one with removable arms (or the kind that flip it off the way) so not the easiest for playing bass, however I have no complaints. It has been amazing- the pain I had in the beginning of the pandemic (from sitting at my mixing spot far longer than I ever had) has gone away. A new ergonomic trackball has been really helpful as well. I have psoriatic arthritis so positioning is more important than it once was for me.
I gave them the less expensive office chair I had purchased on Craigslist a few weeks before that, which was also pretty comfortable. The back was mesh but the seat was memory foam. However, their 13 year old son now uses it and is happy with it, so all good.
My wife and I just splurged and got the X-Chair X2 which are just a revelation for amazing support, especially in the lumbar area. Highly recommended.

no matter, how much do you research, you always end up making the wrong decision. Or may be there is no good office chair exist in this world, and all the claims are just hyped lies. But may be any of the chair for buttock pain can help you out.
I’ve used Herman Miller ‘Mira’ chairs for over 20 years (I’m on my third). They’re not cheap, but your back will thank you for the investment. This article in the UK’s Independent newspaper is pretty up to date with its recommendations and the Mira is included in the list. One of the things I like is that the arm supports get out of the way very easily without compromising the ergonomic qualities of the chair.

The swopper is great but if you are on a budget there is a good alternative that is much cheaper, about 100 EUR. I am a desk worker and sitting in a comfortable chair with a lot of „rests“ is not good for your back. I escaped my back problems with such a minimalist stool. Sitting on such a stool requires your back muscles to work to keep you upright. Lately I combined that with a motorized desk and I‘m standing about 3 hours per day.

I went to a standing desk around 10 years ago. I took all the chairs out of my workspace and got this really nice mat for standing on. About the only times I sit are when I have to drive somewhere and when I play guitar. I think it's been really good for me. The mat is key though. It's a commercial grade thing that is really thick and has the perfect give. I couldn't stand nearly as long as I do without it. I'm always barefoot when working too, so the mat is even more important.
