Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Groovebox and Midi in

Hi Family,

Somehow I am me too stupid, but I get no MIDI in Groovebox enabled. I am trying to send from different apps MIDI data on the Groovebox, but can't hear in Groovebox.
Can someone please just tell me what to do for this to work?

Thank you and beautiful Sunday!

Did you turn on background audio in Groovebox?

Here’s a tutorial from Jakob Haq:

  • Hi thx, background Audio is on .

I will Look later again on it.

  • Make sure you are within a single module and you'll be able to get midi in.

  • You need to have your sending app set to Groovebox for its midi out, and then have the module you want to receive the midi active (selected) in Groovebox...plus background audio on.

  • I had to use Midiflow to get my external controller working with it. Very disappointed in its MIDI implementation, since it announces it's just plug and play. Far from it.

  • I had a bit of weirdness tonight sequencing midiSTEPS -> Groovebox. I had to delete the pattern I’d recorded in Groovebox to get Groovebox to record all the midiSTEPS notes. Probably unrelated to your issue, but it seems Groovebox hasn’t perfected midi yet.

Which apps’ midi are you trying to send to Groovebox?
