Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Synth on one device, keyboard on another?
Was thinking it would be nice to have a keyboard like Sound Prism on an iPhone and send midi over Bluetooth to a synth on an iPad instead of having to swap screens back and forth on one device. Is there an easy way to do this?

Not sure, if this app would work? I have it, but haven't done much with it.

Take a look at this one:

Midimittr is free and will send Bluetooth MIDI from one device to another. It's pretty simple - just basic connection.
Apollo has a few more options like easy Channel switching and built in keyboard.
^ Also the latest AUM release lefts you do bluetooth midi. That's what Ive been using to route midi for the last few days and it's going well. Previously I used midimittr and also the MidiFlow (pre AB3 one) without any IAPs necessary. I think its all basically the same underneath, advertise BT peripheral on one device, connect with BT host on the other. (I have heard (at very least in theory) that one host can connect to multiple peripherals but havent tried that yet.
Thanks for the tips, turns out I already had midimittr and apollo in the past and forgot about them, thought they were for ios to mac only. Will give those a try.
