Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

AUM - Recording Stopped Unexpectedly error

Anyone seen this error and know what might be causing it? It's new to me, and have gotten it many times tonight, even after iPad reboot. Air 2, latest.

  • Ah, probably due to lack of storage.

  • Error code -66570 = kExtAudioFileError_AsyncWriteBufferOverflow

You clearly have an AsyncWriteBufferOverflow. :*

  • A bit late to this party, but that error message means that the device is trying to write data faster than the system allows. So, the storage disk is slower than the rate of data coming in (the recorded audio). This could be because some other app is using the disk a lot (for example streaming samples?), or the disk is short on free space, or that you're trying to record more channels at the same time than the system can handle.
