Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Patterning- saving muted instruments in a file?

Is it possible to save in such a way that 'A' has different instrument mute settings to 'A1'?

  • Not that I'm aware of, I use muting/soloing a lot in Patterning for performance. IMO to have this behaviour, you'd lose a lot more performance possibility than you'd gain. Working over all the patterns, there's a lot of mileage you can get from muting and unmuting things!

  • I see what you mean- and I would agree to an extent. But I was hoping to save the mute settings in an adjacent pattern- but still retain the option of muting/ unmuting in a performance scenario after I have done this.
Also- when I choose a new drum kit- playing 'live' all the parts unmute- is it possible to avoid this?

  • Why does Patterning fail to record in Garageband? Something too simple for me to see?
