Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

My new video, “Caprice n. 14 (Paganini)”!

SUBSCRIBE: https://goo.gl/TNmKC7 - Let’s start the week with the grandaddy of shredding?

This is my rendition on the classical guitar of the “Caprice n. 14", by the Italian violin virtuoso, composer and pioneer of shredding, Niccolò Paganini. This piece is part of his “24 Caprices for Solo Violin”, Op. 1. Not many people know that Paganini was also very proficient on the guitar, having composed a collection of sonatas for it, which I intend to visit in the future. However, he never attempted to transcribe his Caprices to guitar, perhaps because of the limitations of the instrument at the time. The first well-known transcriptions was by John Williams (Caprice n. 24) and the most famous, by Eliot Fisk (he transcribed all the Caprices to the guitar). This is my own arrangement, based on the original violin scores, and it’s very different from Fisk’s version - which I found brilliant but too fast and nothing like the violin interpretations of this piece I know (eg.: Alexander Markov).
