Auria Pro - no AB3... but is it possible to....

I read that we can't route midi into Auria Pro via Audiobus 3.

But I wonder if this can work: route midi from AB3 into AUM, and use AUM as an Auria plugin to get pure midi from AB3>
Anyone tried it? Before I ruin another nights sleep :)
