Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
groovebox track making
Okey, so how do you record your tracks made with Groovebox ??
do you sequence evrything in groovebox ??
i just tried recording into Loopy from AUM and it worked really well, so you could do sweeps and stuff, atleast until groovebox implement this and fix the clicks and corrupted stems export.

It's early days and I believe in these developers (and bought all the IAPS as a result), but the SKRAM shadow hangs over every new shiny thing until a few updates/fixes appear....as for Loopy into AUM, haven't tried, but will now
yeah i fully trust the dev team theyve been awesome with blocs, the Groove - AUM - Loopy works really good perfect sync and i just did it on my phone probably works even better on Ipad, what i did was, solo the drums, them recorded the synts one at a time into 16bar loops into loopy
I need midi export, multi clip per instrument with clip launching, sampler instrument..
What I'm doing is exporting each instrument used as a separate .wav, then sequencing them in Auria Pro. We can, of course, also export instruments playing together and make use of whatever combo suits.
No worries about development. I know that these guys have some really exciting plans.
At this point ditto.
Lol
You can export each individual track loop to AudioShare and paste in GB or gadget
Back in the day..this is how we used to sequence with nanostudio trg
Or you could record live in via IAA or audiobus or aum...
the thing right now is that the export of indivual loops is not working as it should, clicks and pops and sometimes missing first beat in files, but other than that Yes thats one way of doing it.
I have been trying different things, these are all based on iOS only, each method works really well and has it benefits and drawbacks. if you are not purely on iOS you can export to Ableton from any of the apps.
Export from Groovebox to blocs, and then send onto Launchpad (or import directly into LP if you are not adding wave based loops), and record the LP performance within LP (No synth tweaking with this method, but you can use the LP filter). You only have a mixed output so there is no reproducing the individual track performance for use in a DAW.
Playing an individual synth/loop in Groovebox and recording live into blocs wave using AB, you can then either send this to LP as above or play it live in wave and record into AUM like below. This allows for longer than 8 bars as well as loop and synth tweaking during the initial recording, plus you get the individual wave for that synth recorded. With this method you can export the stems from blocs wave for use in a DAW later on.
Loading Groovebox in AUM, with wave and Launchpad as well if you like, and recording live, This method you can tweak synths/loops over the length of the entire performance, but it does require app switching during the performance, and you only have a mixed output, no individual recordings of the tweaked bits so you cannot then reproduce this for use in a DAW.
As fixes for export and functionality like MIDI In or Automation get added, then the benefits//drawbacks of each method will change.

Working perfectly for me, on an Air 2 with latest IOS.
I'm not getting this either. Mini 2 with latest iOS.
Are you hosting Groovebox via IAA in something else or running stand alone ?
I get pops on an air2. But only with exported loops.
Yes exported loops is the problem, recording trough audiobus is fine
Under what conditions are you exporting....
Is Groovebox hosted in anything (AUM/AB) ?
What destination are you selecting for your export ?
Is link enabled ?
Are you exporting while the track is playing ? or is the track stopped ?
Are the pops and crackles appearing in all files ? Or just those from a particular module/preset ?
Do you have an audio interface connected ?
All info that will help @AmpifyxNovation identify and fix the issues
do this, then do this, then go down that road for about 15 miles and take a left then STAY right and look for the old barn, if you see a church you've gone too far, I'm gonna wait for song mode.
Just exporting "project files" each channel is exported as indivudal audio file, i get corrupted files that wont loop properly clicks and pops in the end and sometimes missing the first audio beat.
What Hanson said
No interfaces, no other apps running just trying to share wav files.
I have a theory that it might be the reverb and a solution to tht would be to export the second run om the beat so there is time for the reverb tail to " created "
I can see the issue, I am definitely not getting this same thing.
Does it happen every time?, does it happen in all projects ? and is it always on the same things everytime ?
A bit of a stab in the dark, but have you tried rebooting your device ?
Open Groovebox first, turn off link (if it is on)
Do a full reboor of the device...hold power until you get the slide to power off message, and then slide to power off. Turn the device back on, do not connect any devices (USB audio or keyboards) then before opening or doing anything else, open Groovebox and try exporting again, see if it still happens ? What this does is check the export without having anything else able to have an effect on it.
If it doesn't happen after a reboot then it is possibly caused by something else (or combination of things), and may start happening again, if it does, try and remember what you were doing, and/or what apps you used or what devices you connected in the time between it last working and then not working.
If it does happen straight away after reboot, then perhaps there is some installation issue or issue caused by some setting in iOS..you could go through all the iOS setting one at a time, changing them and seeing if it makes a difference...I personally would first try a re-install of the App, see if that helps (although you would more than likely lose your existing Groovebox projects this way)...I haven't checked if you can get to them via iTunes for backup purposes or not yet.
Same problem, not all the time, i noticed if i turn volume almost all the way down and export the a big click sound in the audio file
Guys. I'm exporting a mix from Groovebox into either AudioShare or Blocs Wav, in both cases, or either case the exported wav doesn't match the source BPM. My source BPM is set at 110 and BW or AS say it's at 116 BPM. Can someone please confirm??
Volume all the way down where ? On the track in Groovebox ? Or on the device ?
On the trck in groovemaker, yes same problem here too with track bp,
Have you got link enabled, I know this used to cause all sorts of BPM issues with iSpark when exporting.
Also what BPM does the exported filename have..this should match the bpm in Groovebox.
Yes allways link enabled if link exists
Yeah, link enabled. But i made sure both Groovebox and Blocs wave are both at 110 bpm. Weird thing is BW detects is at 116 bpm right at the import step, while the exported name clearly says 110bpm.
Try with link disabled, just to test it.
Problem solved! Issue was not with Groovebox or BW. Issue discovered was that i had named the project with my original 116 BPM in mind. But as I worked on the project, i settled on 110 bpm, but never went back to rename the Groovebox project to reflect the new 110 bpm. I think this threw BW or Audioshare off and detected the wrong bpm. After i went to rename the Groovebox project to 110 bpm, it exported perfectly and BW had the correct BPM also!!
Even with Ableton Link enabled! So this is really cool, cause it created perfect loop!
Thanks!
Wahey
Yes it will have thrown them off as they are looking at the filename for this info when they import.
...fyi....if you DO NOT put the bpm in the project name....Groovebox will automatically add the exported BPM and Key to the filenames for the exported files.
@Hansson Do you have BPM in your groovebox project name ?
Nope
Yeah and you're right it said 110 Bpm twice
Me fault.
