Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Problem with Akai MPD24 & Ipad

First of all hello to this great forum. I've been lurking a long time. I have big
interest in apps and new tech even though I'm just playing around and having
fun with apps etc...

Today I tried to connect my MPD24 to the Ipad (2017) using Apple CCK.
It takes too much power - the Ipad said. But my MPD is powered by a wall
adapter. I've read a lot about powered usb-hubs, but I'm wondering why a
normal wall-adapter won't do? Any advice here?

  • Same issue with an older device Zoom H2. It had separate power input but did not work.
So your choice is either buying the new cck kit or using a powered USB hub. In some cases the USB hub doesn't need to be powered , it's enough for tricking the iOS and use your device.

  • Thanks for the reply. Are you sure the new cck would work?
I've been thinking of buying one even before I tried the MPD...

Not sure , but it's supposed to solve those issues and charge the iPad at the same time.
Maybe there is someone here with the same combo?
