Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus support request: A-Delay by MRA-Development

edited August 2013 in General App Discussion

Just found this really cool little effect unit, a granular synthesis delay unit. It can create some really cool & weird effects with the provided parameters, even has automation built in. It only processes live audio from the mic or audio interface right now. The last update was back in 2011 sometime, but I'm just throwing it out there in hopes the devs behind it might see this. It really is a cool effect unit, minimal and easy interface and would be such a great addition to the Audiobus fx slot family. Anyway here's the link to the app (free):

  • i totally agree. i have it since 1 year. so cool. and i would pay for it if had audiobus support.

  • @ChrisG - You can achieve very similar types of sounds in Echo Pad using "Shimmer" and "Erratic Delay". Also play around with the "Rise" and "Fall" effects.

Thanks HM! I've been messing around with the shimmer/erratic/rise/fall (never really used few of those before for some reason), and that definitely gives some really different and cool results. So that's gonna see a lot more use here from now on. :) I just kinda get lost in echo pad everytime I open it tho, like I do with a good synth app, it's too fun messing around with it, needs to be more boring and ugly. :(

I really like the , very, basic, fast and simple layout/interface in A-delay. Just a really lightweight and fast little app that can quickly cause some real mayhem to the audio, and that I think would have its own place amongst all other Audiobus fx units. Anyway might try and email the dev and see if there's still any life left in this one.

  • i downloaded also echo pad. i liked!

but the main problem i found were glitches, glitches... i am running it in an iphone5, one of the most powerful idevices... if it doesn't run well in it... what kind of machine you need!?

  • @eccecelllo - What kind of glitches are you experiencing? Echo Pad runs solid on iPad 2 and iPhone 4s, so your iPhone 5 has more than enough power.
