Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

What's Iwavestations Closest Rival/competition on IOS?

Comments

  • Cube Synth ?

  • really, on a scale of 1-10 what do you give them both?

  • what's like iwavestation but allows sample import?

  • Arturia's iProphet and Gadget's Kiev both use vector synthesis.

There isn't such a thing on iOS.

There is...even much more advanced in terms of vector synthesis with up to 32 sound sources (you also can do a kind of wavesequencing).
    It´s Mitosynth!
Oh, and it has a much much better patch and midi management as the Korg apps (they almost killed it with the lack of it for me), 3D touch and modulations are crazy (as much LFO´s like you want or your device can handle). 4 XY pads with as much parameters assigned as you like....and more.
The FX are not so good, the filters, chorus, flanger are crap (sorry, just the truth).
The tube resonance (love it), echo, reverb and some of the distortion modes are good!

  • I'd say for 'wave sequence type' sounds Mitosynth.
And well, SunVox since it's a 'tracker' so a wave sequence is just a 'pattern' set up in another project file triggered by another project file...

  • Not really the same thing, in fact, not anywhere near, almost not relevant at all to the question, but:
TC-11 - try patching the sequencer into the waveshaper and the resonator (with a bunch of other performance controls such as camera brightness, etc).

If you want a wavetable sequencer iWaveStation has no competition. For open wavetable synthesis where you can import and create your own wavetables, I prefer PPG WaveGenerator and Nave.

  • was thinking of ppg, they never go on sale grrr

Very deep apps. Wolfgang Palm (PPG) is the father of wavetable synthesis.
