Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

No sound (sometimes) when I change preset

It happens unpredictably, some app (moog 15, iGrand Piano and others) doesn't work: every time I have to close and reopen all, including Audiobus, and obviously during a concert it takes too much time. I'm using a iPad mini 2. Any advice? Maybe can I fix it with a newer ipad?

  • Try plugging in headphones, then unplugging them again. Works for me mostly.

  • Thanks but I can't do this attempt during a concert (the output is already connected to PA), I need something stable

  • Yeah I understand. (You connect the headphone-out to the PA, then? Why not via lightning, since there's much better conversion to be had?) Happened to me also only without being connected to a system (i.e. when jamming at home). Maybe there is some kind of preset-preference to check? Also: did you try the same presets without connection (through iPad speakers)? It's always good to make a "reset/restart" before setting up your system, too.

  • i need to use the headphone output to the PA, because via lightning i connect a midi keyboard to play during a gig
