Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Download on the App Store

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

    Happy Birthday Monsieur HaQ

    @Fruitbat1919 LoL! Thank you! =D

Glad you was ok with that joke, it's typical British humour ;)

@Fruitbat1919 I like "off" jokes. I'm a big fan of Ricky Gervai type comedy. The office UK, brilliant!

  • Ok here's a question:

What made you start 'fingering' your device? Great line by the way. I still laugh every time I hear it :D

    1. What motivates you?
    2. When are you coming to SF?
  • Do you have a variety of strategies for composing songs or just one main one- if so what are they or what is it.

I find myself being too meticulous when composing a song and end up getting fed up listening to the same part after constantly changing it- and so it starts to sound old before I have even finished it- Does this happenen to you? If it does- what do you do about it?

What is more important- how much you enjoy your music- or how much other people enjoy your music?

    Cheers

Ps I always enjoy your videos- it would have been great if you guys from the Soundtest Room had got together for a Christmas special or something like that :)

  • When it comes to making a beat/song what's your process? Do you have different strategies when starting or do you have the same process every time?

I'm not good at building upon simple loops I create. Can you describe or show your process for taking loops you made and expanding them into more of a song format?

  • What's the one app you wish someone would create?

  • Does that screen wiping cloth ever get cleaned itself?

I think these cloths are the same material that single men's underwear is made of.

  • Were you really playing something in the Link commercial or just acting?

  • On a more serious note, when you went from hardware and desktops to being a mobile musician what impact if any did that have on your creative process and work process?

  • What does your better half think of all this business?

  • Sir HaQ, will you do me the honour of asking my question in the manner of Norman Wisdom? Go on....you know you want to ;)

  • edited September 2016

I know you won't be allowed to answer that but I would ask your top 5 Music apps (the following apps excluded: Audiobus,Audioshare,AUM & any DAW ).

Great job btw, I love the tone of excitement you put in each video. This makes the video so much yourself!

  • How do we make sure this ecosystem stays alive?

  • Are the rumors about you and Snooki from Southpark true? ;)

  • Snooki loves a good porn tash ;)

  • How do you see the future? What will you be holding in your hands come ten years from now?

  • How is your iPad fixed to the desk? 'Cause it never moves even when the sweat of your efforts is wiped away.

  • Looking back over the past two years, what have been the most significant developments or changes in the iOS world, and in your own workflow and creative process? Where do you see things going in the next two years, both for yourself and technology? Do you see yourself still doing these videos for the next two years? What would you like to be doing in 2 years? (I know big questions, right? No worries if you can't answer them all. I'm not sure I could. )

Is it true that fingering all your stuff can make you go blind?

Or poking yourself in your eyes ;)

  • Fingering my stuff might lead to it.

  • Happy Birthday/Anniversary, @jakoB_haQ !

Other than GarageBand, what app or apps do you feel offer the most for your money and why?

You stop calling it an ecosystem. :D

  • @jakoB_haQ - do you think iOS will be a serious platform for music going forward, and what does it offer beyond current platforms? This is a bit rhetorical, but others seeing it for the first time might benefit.

  • So there's plenty of apps all with various technical merits to the point where almost anything seems possible. For the already technically inclined, yet new to music type, what is the best path using iOS/apps to develop musical skill?

Oh, and if you're putting names in credits my handle is usually srcerer, here it's only srcer because I signed up with twitter and there I used a shorter handle, because, well, twitter.
