AUM, mod step and multi timbral instruments?
It seems to be a popular work flow these days to load instruments into AUM and drive them with mod step. It' s a great setup and stable etc. but is there a way to work with multi timbral instruments like Sample Tank or Sound Canvas or iSymphonic? Since these don't have multiple IAA ports only one instrument can be loaded into AUM at one time.
I wonder if some of the work flow geeks here have come up with some clever idea around this limitation.
It is easy to drive four ST instruments with mod step but how do you then record them if you want individual recordings of the instruments?

It's up to the app to expose the ports. Thumbjam does. Otherwise, you have to solo each part and record them in separate passes.
bs-16 exposes multiple midi ports which can be routed to separate audio channels in modstep. I'm always surprised at how few apps provide multiple audio outs.
