Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Egoist question

Is there any way in the Egoist slicer to move the sample so that the same slicing pattern is playing over a different part of the sample? That is, I have the slicer playing on the first part of a sample and it's working ace--but then I want the same slicing pattern on a piece of the sample that is far to the right. I don't want to manually move the slicing markers for fear that I won't get the same precise pattern... And I can see I can move the markers at the top of the waveform but it doesn't seem to have an effect on which part of the sample gets sliced? What am I missing?

Comments

  • A workaround would be to duplicate the sample and trim it in audioshare ?

Or copy paste your pattern in another one to do the work manually without any risk of loosing the first one?

Yes, I considered the former and will probably go down that path if Egoist doesn't allow me to shift the sample.
