Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
A new audiobus enabled song
Audiobus, thumbjam strings, igrand, garageband. Built-in mic. I know I need to get the apogee one, but can't justify the expense right now. Anyway, it's a genre I don't hear a lot of on ios...hope you enjoy it.

Nice song, I like the production too - great vocal as well!
Thanks, Phil.
My big regret is that I can't really sing. Well, I can, but nobody wants to hear it (at least not twice...)
Really nice. And yea great vocals, what reverb/EQ did you use by the way (on the vocals)?
Since he recorded them in a coat cupboard, he probably did the processing with a mac...
Wow really nice song and performance. Kind of has a Rufus Wainwright vibe to it. How do you get such nice vocal sound from the built in mic?
Very well done. Proof that less is sometimes more.
great song, great production.
Very nice, Ian. Hope you get your mic eventually - you deserve it, but you've done a darned good job with the resources you have. An example to us all. Thanks for posting and keep 'em coming!
Sounds good the way it is Ian...I'd be tempted to stick with what ain't broken.
Sorry to put you in a box,... I'm getting you somewhere between Tom Waits,'closing time' and Billy Joel,'The Stranger'.
Thanks for posting.
Thanks, everyone, wow! Some really encouraging comments. PaulB, lol, should've seen that coming. ChrisG and Bootsy, I think the decent sound was down to the deadening effect of the coat cupboard. I used the standard garageband reverb and slid the noise gate to a gnat's under halfway. There's a small glitch at one point where the gate kicks in, but there's an immediacy I like in a quick, rough and ready recording so I left it relatively untouched. Also, I don't know what I'm doing! I picked up BM2 this week and will try that for future projects. I'm hoping to upgrade the ipad in the autumn, at which stage i'll move to cubasis. Of course, I shouldn't say that, cos who knows what'll be around by then? My name's Ian and I'm an appaholic.
Great production and a nice little comp!
I'm always impressed at how well the built-in mic is made.
We should share pictures of how silly it looks to sing into an ipad!
Nice one!
