Best Latency?
Hi, I am relatively new to making music on iOS.
For now I am using Loopy on an iPhone 5s, and considering the iPad 3 when it arrives.
So far I am finding 256 samples latency not very musical, but 128 samples generally causes dropouts if I use anything in the fx slot. It seems each slot adds another buffer and thus more latency?
I have an RME Babyface Pro with wired headphones, but running in class compliant mode means it sometimes stutters even more than onboard audio.
Is the latency something that might get fixed in an upcoming Audiobus release, or is it a limitation of iOS, or do interfaces need proprietary drivers to achieve low latency?
For live work, and especially stuff like guitar and percussion latency is a big issue!
