Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Desperate measures

i've been having a lot of problems recently with my ipad (3, ios 6.1.3 32GB) stuttering and slowing right down, both websites and audio. Audiobus has been on 512 for 3 months and still I was getting clicks and glitches. The final straw was, with 1.6GB empty it told me I didn't have enough memory for Garage Band. I've tried various things and finally, having backed up my music/photos etc, I did a total wipeout, and have been reinstalling for the past few days. A major league pain. But.. it is much quicker, I've got a/b on 256 with no problems. I've culled some apps I don't use whilst keeping the big horrors like Alchemy and Sampletank. Really happy. I figured I'd saved about an extra 1GB of memory. When I came to look, though, there was 12.4 GB spare.

I'm not sure what my point is except if you're having problems it might be worthwhile doing a quick "tot-up" of all the apps present. I can't believe I hadn't noticed that before.
