Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

iRig MIDI 2 unboxing and connecting – haQ attaQ 113

The second item I received from IK Multimedia was an iRig MIDI 2. Here I am unboxing and connecting it to my Dubmasta midi controller!

I’ve really missed being able to control my stuff using a midi controller. You can imagine how happy I was when I got an iRig MIDI 2 in that box from IK Multimedia. However, I don’t own any hardware midi stuff any longer. I sold everything some time ago. Well, almost everything. I still have my Dubmasta!

Stay tuned for some cool dubby videos in the future. Thanks to this little MIDI unit I can now dub it away on my iPad, like I use to do (on my desktop system) in the past. And I won’t have to worry about charging my iPad in the middle of a session thanks to the iRig PowerBridge. I am so very greatful! And oh, I am also using MiMiX in video.

  • Are you still all IOS? I thought I saw a vlog where you recorded on "Reason".

  • @Telstar5 Yup I'm still on iOS! :)

I have t got any vlog up with me doing anything in reason. However I am planning on adding Desktop related stuff to my video content.m, Reason will definitely get featured then.

My old desktop rig hasn't aged well. It's been ages since i got it and I need something new before I can start making eps. :)

  • How did you get the PowerBridge functioning? I could not get it to work? I emailed their customer support but no reply. Their firmware update software doesn't seem to recognize the PowerBridge (or even the iRig Stream). I tried on several Apple computers and a PC with both a regular USB cord they supplied and a USB-c cord they supplied. Is their software just flawed or did someone figure out a trick? I can't use the PowerBrige (won't charge iPhone) until apparently the firmware is updated but I can't update the firmware because their firmware update app won't recognize their hardware :/
