Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Comments

  • facebook.

  • If you want to discuss shooting 8mm film visit the filmshooting.com forum. I used to be there quite a bit.

  • The hollow willow tree, just outside of your village...will keep your secrets....

  • You mean like an off topic forum?

  • Used to have one in another forum I used to use. Became utter chaos and sometimes quite nasty.

  • Of course, usenet is still there.

  • There's more than plenty of nasty out in the real world...despite all I have learned here and the decent level of camaraderie (if that's really a thing amongst sad far-flung strangers) it's the lack of nasty which keeps me coming back...

Yeah and I really don't see a way to moderate an off-topic forum without dedicating a lot of time to it, which I don't have. I'm sorry.

Does the forum plugin support assigning moderators? There's a few trustworthy souls on here (not me obviously) who I'm sure would be happy to help take the load off a bit, keep the spammers off, that sort of thing. Might save you a bit of time.

  • Yes it does but there already are a few other moderators. I've been a forum moderator enough times in other communities and adding an off-topic forum is just rarely a great idea. It would be an easy way to increase traffic, but I'd rather keep this place on topic. There are so many ways to get in touch and I don't mind someone opening an off-topic thread now and then. I just don't want to encourage it by creating a dedicated OT forum.

Couldn't agree more. Love this forum as it is.

Sorry I didn't really make that clear, I wasn't adding my vote for an OT forum (me and johnnygoodyear do a good job of that already) - I think it's fine as it is - didn't realise there were other mods so just thought I'd mention it as it'd lighten the load on you.

  • @Sebastian I half expect someone will jump down my throat for asking this question, Are there actual rules published on this forum? I had assumed there was but when I went looking for them a while back I couldn't even find guidelines for forum etiquette. It is amazing that things go so smoothly here and I think the admins should be congratulated for not being heavy handed, in fact I think you guys play it perfectly.

  • As mentioned above I have some experience with running forums and defusing arguments on the interwebs. Then there are some other mods who might or might not be working in the background as well.

I think the main reason why this forum is so civil is because of the users. You're just all a chill bunch. Would be cool if it could stay this way. So if you see something escalating, try to be source of calm and if it keeps escalating, PM me.

    Thank you all. :)

Enjoyable indeed sir. It's because of the people on here that for me, makes it as addictive as some of the apps! Cheers to you all.

Entirely this. Including the occasional OT being totally fine. Indeed, I bet people would get a kick hearing about the OPs 8mm musings.

  • Don't be fooled! Its a link to a porno site.

    /thanks all for the imput

  • Like a recurring leitmotif, the conviction that numbers are by nature ahistorical and universal is woven through the history of philosophy.

It's a cracking read if'n you're in the market for a bit of sub-forum strange.

The house gets cold and distant without kids.
