Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

BiasFX

So I just picked it up yesterday. The thing that prompted it was doing an AB comparison between my Zoom effects box and a JamUp Pro effects. JamUp sounded better, and I said that the $30 bucks for the latest and greatest is probably worth it.

My hesitating had been knowing that my JamUp effects apparently can't even be in BiasFX signal path. Oh well.... Can't have everything. A minor issue, and if I truly must use a JamUp effect, I can try via Audiobus.

So anyone else using BiasFX with guitar and bass?

I'm especially curious if anyone is using it in an effects loop of a guitar combo amp.

Cheers,

  • biasFX sounds great. Using it in the effects loop of my guitar combo..... Not so much. Lose a lot of dynamics.
