Audiobus: Use your music apps together.

What is Audiobus?Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.

Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

Apollo Transmit updated, free for the next few days....

Folks -- small bug fix for Apollo Transmit, and we're making it free for the next few days. It streams audio over WiFi from a Mac to the (free) Sound Injector app for iOS, Mac, or to a free (beta test version) PC VST.
For the Mac:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/apollo-transmit/id956960672?mt=12
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/apollo-sound-injector/id954162867?mt=12
iOS version of Sound Injector (Audiobus 2.0 compatible, and can also run as regular IAA)
For iOS:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/apollo-sound-injector-streaming/id912136793?mt=8

To send audio from iOS to elsewhere, there's Apollo Remote Recorder
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/apollo-remote-recorder/id898553024?mt=8

And while I've got your eyeballs for a second... We've been working on something very interesting with a few other development teams. In a couple of days, there will be some very interesting news.

Comments

  • apollosi VST does not work in FL Studio. I want to send audio from my 2 iPads to FL Studio 11.2 over WiFi. Any help? Thanks.

  • Has the PC VST been updated since the last beta release?

  • @SecretBaseDesign

I am also interested in the PC Vst version. It seems odd ,but in the past I could achieve almost realtime streaming. I downloaded the last release ( ~January 20 ) and I couldn't achieve low latency performance . I don't know if this version now is new. You could name the vst versions according to minor/major releases

You can share it now if you want. Promise we tell nothing!

  • Still need to tweak the PC VST a bit -- just been buried with the paid-app work (and the new project)! The January version of the PC VST should be able to achieve the same latency, but there are a few tweaks left to do. Also, the synchronization of the two audio engines (PC and iOS) may have an impact (lots of interesting effects when you have two independent time-constrained systems).

And we're still keeping things under wraps. One key part has been approved by our friends in Cupertino, just waiting on the other shoe to drop....
