Audiobus: Use your music apps together.
What is Audiobus? — Audiobus is an award-winning music app for iPhone and iPad which lets you use your other music apps together. Chain effects on your favourite synth, run the output of apps or Audio Units into an app like GarageBand or Loopy, or select a different audio interface output for each app. Route MIDI between apps — drive a synth from a MIDI sequencer, or add an arpeggiator to your MIDI keyboard — or sync with your external MIDI gear. And control your entire setup from a MIDI controller.
Download on the App StoreAudiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.
TC-Data: Easy to play from chords or scales?
I love TC-11, but the biggest gripe I had with it is that the ability to play from a select group of notes in a chord or scale is buried in the Sequencer, and even when you find it, it's not intuitive.
Now I know that both TC-11 and TC Data is not about the traditional playing and selection of notes or chords from a keyboard or other instrument. The whole point is to give us novel interactions for musical expression. BUT it would a lot more useful for me to know that I can pull only notes from, say, the Am pentatonic, or G Phrygian, etc.
Anyway.... can you do this in TC Data? And can you do it easily?
Cheers,
- Joe

The system for this is similar to TC-11, so you'll have to deal with the sequencer. It would help a little if Note Names were shown instead of MIDI Note Numbers...
The previous commenter @FRibeiro posted this excellent vid a few years back using TC-11.
Sounds to me like all those notes are from one scale.
Seriously though, it is possible. For me, I'm personally enjoying digging deep into the possibilities of tables and sequencers.
Maybe a community of user patches for simple key setups would be useful?
There are some very handy tools, like key filters that will limit touch data to only play notes from your chosen key.
Thanks for posting the video, @SpookyZoo
A community of user patches is a great idea. Of course, with TC-data it would also be useful if users include patches on other controlled synths as well, matching those which control them on TC-data.
Thanks for replies so far!

When TC-DATA gets Audiobus 2's state-saving feature, this will be an awesome combo.
i.e....custom expression-rich Animoog patches each with a dedicated TC-Data patch to control that particular preset. Exciting prospect!
Sign me up to mainline the patches please....awesome idea.
The reason I haven't bought TC-Data yet is because I'm still figuring out TC-11. The sequencer is soo complicated to create notes. I second everyone who is asking for scale templates, that would make a massive difference.
The sequencer is easier to use in TC-Data when it comes to notes.
The dev said he'd found an easier to work with workflow with data, and was going to update 11 to work like data. My thinking was to leave the complexity of 11 till the update and learn to work with data first.
